Women's In-House Network is a peer-to-peer organization composed of dynamic in-house attorneys in the DFW area. WIN meetings are held 4-6 times a year, with a focus on getting to know one another and sharing ideas.
Many of our meetings also provide CLE credit for attendees. Meetings are currently held in the Galleria area, a central location for most members.
Women's In-House Network was founded in 2009 by a group of in-house women General Counsel from both private and public companies. One of them, Jane McBride, had been a member of the Planning Committee for the National Association of Women Lawyers General Counsel Institute for many years, and had invited many of her Dallas colleagues to attend the annual General Counsel Institute event in New York City.
After hearing "I wish there was something like that in Dallas" over and over again, Jane reached out to the other founding members and they brainstormed on how to get something started in Dallas that would provide easy networking and knowledge opportunities to in-house women here in the DFW area.
The result of those brainstorming sessions was Women's In-House Network. Over 85 attended the first Women's In-House Network lunch, formulating WIN's mission statement and structure through group discussions. WIN's Board and membership continues to grow, and its programs continuously evolve to better serve WIN Members.
